    laying straight?
Is it normal for a bp to lay straight when not moving instead of curling up? I noticed my bp doing this tonight and got kinda paranoid.

I would be a little leery. I'm not sure what it means, or if some BPs just like to do that. The only time I've seen a BP do that was when I went to look at a craigslist BP that had a 75 degree hot spot. Check all your temps and make sure your hides are nice and snug. That BP didn't have hides either, so I'm not sure which it was more stressed out about....

I've noticed this with my pastel as well, but only right after she eats. Its hard to curl up when there's a full rat in your stomach haha. Although, she usually only lays somewhat straight (not as straight as a pencil if you referring to that?)

    Mine do this after meals.
They will have the longest portion of their body straight across the underlying heat tape.

No, not as straight as a pencil, but not in a ball either haha. I'm glad you guys mentioned the food part because I did just feed her the other day. Didn't even think of that!! Thanks!

No problems. They do it all the time. However, if you think something could be wrong, keep an eye on the snake and look for other issues.

    Good Luck!
