New addition

I went out a picked up a little "Suspected male" from a local breeder I've known for about a year. Suspected because he said it can be hard to sex them when they are this small.

I named him Doon (like Dune)

I only used a hide like that for him to bask on because I'm a ball guy and I use those exo terra hides in my rack. lol.

P.S. He ate a totally dry food pellet earlier....and it didn't ring a bell that the stuff was suppose to be wet or moist until I was watching him eat it dry. Then I was like "Oh Crap!" I forgot to add water. So I took him outta the food bowl and added water... Could the few dry pellets he ate affect him? Also, I'm only savvy on the husbandry of beardies. Any useful advice?

What are these pellets??? I have never given my beardie any pellets...its really their greens and veggies (you give it every day whether or not they eat it) they will eventually, crickets or dubias or silk worms. Don't do mealworms as it has too much chitlin (shell). The size should be what fits between their eyes. Make sure you always coat their buggies with calcium. Don't use calcium with D3 if you are using a UVA/UVB. If you are not using one of those then do give Cal w D3. Give them a luke warm bath once a week. They seem to like it dark for sleeping at night. The temp at night should not go below 70....you may have to have a red light to supplement the temp at night. If so I would recommend a soft blankey over the top of him so the light doesn't disturb him.
