    Tail wagging ?
I just witnessed my first bp tail wagging. I heard something and thought I left a rat in the cage.:O My het albino female was making a lap around the cage wagging her tail and leaving a scent trail. LOL

My question is: How long are they usually receptive to a male? I would love to try to prove my 66% het albino/pied male. He is young and about 560 grams. How long should I give him to try to figure it out before I throw an more experienced boy in with her?

Is she large enough for breeding? What is the reason you were waiting?

She is large enough, but my male is smaller. I would love to try to prove out his albino side because he is a 66% het Pied/Albino. It would give me a jump start on my Albino/Pied project because my double het girls are not up to size this year. I have only put him in with her 2 times and he has not done anything yet. I don't want to miss out on breeding a ready female though. I have a experienced spider male who will get the job done.

Young males at 500+ grams have been bred successfully before, maybe you should try some of the get-him-going tricks, such as misting or putting the other male's shed in the female's tub.

Sometimes it might take a male longer at figuring out what to do if he hasn't bred before. He'll get the hang of it eventually:) It took my male a little bit until he finally got it

    Thanks
I will keep on trying him because I know the female is ready. I might breed her to my spider too so I don't miss out on a clutch if he does not get the hang of it. I'll give him a month or so.

Are your males hissy and pissed at you touching them or anything around them? If the answer is yes, they might be ready.
