I love the cycle of birth in all animals, whether it be via an egg or live birth. :D It's beautiful. Thanks for the photos :)

Of these girls, the cinnamon and the normal will lay first. The cinny is going into her pre lay shed now and the normal should be right behind her. They both lay around march every year.

The butter looks to be having a small clutch but I'm still happy she took.

The blackback is developing and I think she is 2 or 3 months behind the others.

How can you tell that they are gravid? They all look normal to me!

Palpitations, past breedings, and though it's hard to see, the 2 that are going to lay first are very peaked.

When you pick them up it's very obvious from the individual lumps. You can even get a fairly accurate count of how many eggs there are.

The normal is actually the largest but the photo of her was taken at a greater distance.

I took these photos from above which is why it's hard to tell. Look closely at their spines in the last 1/3 of their body's. It's very pointy (peaked) while their sides flare out.

And here is the big and beautiful cinnamon girl after she shed tonight. It won't be long now. Now if only she gives me a super this year ;)
