    First Feeding
So today is the day, my two new albino het.'s get to eat for the first time, in their new enclosures.

I wanted to ask what you guys think, I should do in terms of mice.

    ATM they are eating live.

The Male (Nov 6) is eating a hopper.
Female (June 27th) is eating a big hopper / small adult.

I have quite a few plans tonight, so I was curious if it is safe to leave them in the cage, or if I should monitor, as it is the first time, and there is a possibility they will not eat.

I know alot of people are confident a live mouse wont chew their snake, but I dont know how these guys(Mice) are kept, how they are fed, and treated.

and of course, it is natural that a hungry mouse, will be hungry... ;)

    Also,

should I shave the mice, cause hair will get stuck in the digestive tract and hurt them in the future........?

Wait until you have the time to monitor. Do not put the mice in there and leave.

    Haha oh ok.

As far as how much time to set aside, it really depend on the snake. One of my BPs takes around 10 minutes to finish eating, if that long. Another I have has taken up to an hour to finish a meal.

Usually only takes a minute to know if they're gonna eat or not...if they come out and strike/constrict ur good to go...if they don't show a whole lot of interest, pull the mice back out and try another time...

Just an update, as it is ridiculously difficult to post with tapatalk.

I was mad at the mouse for falling asleep in the cave xD so we took the cave out... Then decided ice crea would be a good idea, and paying my ticket. When we got back the mouse was gone!!!

Almost joined the tagged club cleaning up some poop, and trying to put his hide back in xD I guess he'll have to live with the humid one for a day or two. (thank god for observing the snake, and not the poop >.< )
