    Still building?
My female is getting huge! Is she still building or could this be the big "O"? I palpated a few days ago felt 6-7 big follicles (about 30-35 mm). She's been "glowing" for a week or two and now there is a very noticeable swelling on the lower third of her body. She has been off feed since November, so it's definitely not a meal. She is probably just still building, but I really don't want to miss her Ovulation. What do you guys think?

lol! She is a big girl, but that lump wasn't there a few days ago! :D

If it is an OV...Wouldn't the follicles become softer as they turn into fertile eggs?

It looks like she still is building. When she ovulates you will notice her with her tail scrunched up and if you take a look right where her vent is you will notice that her ventral scales are being sucked into her body

IMHO it looks like she is ready to unload a ton of eggs very very soon:O

Looks like building to me too. The best way I've found to separate building from ovy is by looking for the "tail suck". Here's a thread I started last year of one of my females ovulating and what the tail looks like when it happens. http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...59#post1278059
I'm sure not EVERY female does this, but every one of mine has:gj:
Good luck...... what was she paired with?

Thanks! Her tail was somewhat sucked in, but not as extreme as in your photos...We shall see I guess. She didn't look as big this morning though?

She was paired mostly to a Pastel Het Ghost and twice to a Mojo. I'm hoping for a few female Pastel PH Ghost's! :please:
