what the hell is goin on with my normal female
I know the shedding signs, she's a 8 year old first time breeding normal. her eyes aren't blue and shes been pink for about 4 days. what could this be? recently switched to a rack from a terrarium to house my pastel and female and potential offspring. just wondering what you guys think is going on. oh and the scar on her belly is from a rat foot during feeding, happened years ago. http://184.72.239.143/mu/a6890e4f-a23a-2caf.jpghttp://184.72.239.143/mu/a6890e4f-a250-6b1b.jpghttp://184.72.239.143/mu/a6890e4f-a261-e631.jpghttp://184.72.239.143/mu/a6890e4f-a275-48b7.jpg

Verify temps aren't too high, also did you change the substrate? Other than that she could be about to shed, sometimes they will stay pink and the eyes will go back to normal looking a few days before they shed.

Hmm, sounds like everything is right.. I'm betting she'll shed in the next few days.. either way keep an eye on her but I don't think there is anything to panic over..

Mmm... I would say it'd be best to put the probe under the substrate but inside the enclosure to be seeing exactly what your snake could be getting at if she ever were to figure out how to get under the paper towels.
People say to put the thermostat probe directly on the heat source, which is correct, but you won't get any valuable information from having the thermometer probe on the heat source directly.
