    Is this normal?
So Buster has been in his hide on his warm side since Friday night (I just brought him home Friday), is this ok? This may be a dumb question but I'm a new BP owner and I feel like such a Mom right now :P I lift the hide up throughout the day to check on him and he seems fine, maybe he's just shy and wants to just hide :)

    Thanks!

He's fine...that's pretty much what they do...as long as your temps are good, don't worry about it. :)

    This is a good sign!
The fact that you just got him means that he has settled in pretty well. If he wasn't settled in he would be exploring the cage all day and night. He's obviously comfortable in his new home. Which means your doing everything right.
    Good job! :gj:

Buster came out of hiding!! :P He came out for about 5 minutes to get a drink of water, he's been in his hide for the last 3 days. Of course he just crawled back in there. I was just excited to see the guy, hehe! I plan on feeding him Friday night (that will be a full week that he's been here, I think that's enough time to get him to adjust). I'm just hoping he doesn't try to eat me when I feed him cause I know he's gonna be hungry!

I wouldn't lift his hide up! Just leave him be so he can settle in. Lifting his hide will stress him out and make him feel not secure. I know it's so hard not to but once he is used to you, you can do it more often! Good luck and welcome to the addiction!!! WARNING: YOU WILL WANT MORE!!!

I lift up the hide just to make sure he's still there and breathing! Lmao! I'll leave him be if that may stress him out, I want him as stress free as possible!

The hardest thing to do is leave a first snake alone for the very first week. I know my first week was not that long ago. It sounds to me like your little snake is adapting well to his new home and I think you are going to have good luck.
