    possible scale rot?
I need some help. One of my males has developed a small spot under his neck that is bright red almost orange. I will get pics in a little while or try to the spot is very small. Was wondering what to look for if it is scale rot and how to treat it if it is. I have checked for mites, no sign of them. I keep his enclosure very clean.

OK, here's a pic. Now that I'm looking at the photo, could it be a rat bite? If so, what is the best way to treat it?

I cant say i have much knowledge on the situation but i would say try a couple of clean soaks to see if anything that may be clogging it comes out naturally. keep it clean and if it doesnt improve then a vet visit is probably the best thing. hope this helps. :)

i dont think its scale rot. it might be a rat bite i would keep his cage clean and watch it. maybe put some neosporin without pain relief on it. hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

Some neosporin as mentioned, paper towels/newspaper for a bedding till it heals.
Kind of looks like a rat bite and should heal fairly quickly if kept clean.
