    hatchling housing situation
so I'm currently pairing my pastel to my normal and expect one clutch this year. I am really liking the animal plastics economy line racks due to them being just the right amount of assemble it yourself-ness for me working full time and going to school full time haha. my snake room is heated for their ambient temp so economy seemed like a great choice for me since I don't need to worry about the room not being hot enough. my question is should I go with the 6qt hatchling rack or would I be okay housing the hatchlings in 15qt tubs so I can get the juvenile rack that houses 15 and 32 qt tubs. from the research I've been doing it seems 15 would be too much space but I just wanted to see what everyone thought.

    thanks in advance!

Hatchlings do better in 6qt tubs, i don't move mine to a 15qt until they are over300g

I've ALWAYS put my hatchlings in 12 quart tubs, never used 6 quart tubs. 16 isn't much bigger but make sure that there is a very small hide in the tub and a small water bowl and you'll be fine.

That being said, if you have a 6 quart hatchling rack, use it!!

I own economy line racks, the key is to have a snake room that is heated at 78 degrees if you want to use those racks otherwise you need to get the regular enclosed ones.

My snake room goes from 78 during the winter (with heater) to 86 during the summer (without any heat source) therefore they work for me. ;)

As for hatchling I HIGHLY recommend 6 quarts, very important to have tight setup with young animal that you get started.
