Have you ever had a gravid female eat
I have a female that I'm 99% sure is going into her pre-lay shed. She is huge. I was feeding tonight and she was all excited so I tossed in a weaned rat and she nailed it. Is it possible for a female that is gravid to still eat. This is a girl that will eat anything at anytime normally including when she is in shed.

I bought a female at a show in Apr. 09, that sept. she gave me a clutch of 4 eggs, but i didn't breed her. They must have bred her and thought she wasn't going to go, so they sold her. she ate from the first day she came home all the way till one week before she layed. it was so odd to check on her that day and see her on a clutch(first clutch ever). .1 cinnamon 2.1 normals..........

I had a female last season that ate and kept locking with my male until about a week before she laid her eggs.

should you continue to feed all the way until they lay? i would think passing a rat would add unwanted pressure to the eggs? it just doesnt seem like it would be ok for her to eat the last month. i've always wondered. i have females that i know whould but i never tried once there so far allong.
