just a rant

i wish people knew how to take care of their animals before they get them...god!

i took in a pastel nicaraguan from a former inlaw.

he was having a TERRIBLE shed due to poor humidity. there was moldy feces in the cage. the aspen was so soaked in urine and feces it wouldnt budge

Welcome to the group of us that rescues snakes and other reptiles, it's NOT a fun thing to do. But at the end of the day, you feel great for doing it.

It is so sad huh! That is something whenever I do the shows at schools that we talk about!! I have a couple of rescues and I tell their story and point out what to do BEFORE you get a reptile of any kind. Really a pet of any kind. There will always be ppl out there that just don't care and I wish we could do to them what they do to these animals.



On a side note...Steve holy crap...is that your pied with the smiley face? Too flipping cute!!!!! :rofl: I have a male butter ghost with ...umm....(male private part symbols) all over him....lol. I am hoping that is a sign that he will be just a wicked breeder....:P

Yes that is my pied and he is one heck of a porker, hes already packed on over 100 grams in around 2 months. He was picked because of the smiley face and his overall Pied awesomeness.

Now back to original topic!! I just found a home for a ball python i rescued from death and feel great about the current owner, he is actually willing to listen to what i have to say!!
