    Switching rats?
My pastel and lemon blast were feed mice by the breeder I got them from and were switched to rats for 3 meals by me they took rats no problem but now the want nothing to do w them.

They were never bitten by them or anything thing after 3 meals they both decided rats were bo good and refused. Any opinions as to why they did this? I tried and tried to get them to eat rats again but nooooo so finally after a monthbi caved in and tried some mice again and they went crazy on them I offered a rat just before but noooo but as soon as I pulled the rat and dangled a mouse they both snapped it up.

Anyways they have been eatting mice ever since any tricks to get them.baxk to rats?

    Ive tried multiple things:
Mix rats w mice bedding no intrest
    Skip a meal no intrest
    Skip 2 meals no intrest
Feed a hopper mouse than a rat pup struck constrict no eat

    Tips pleassssssssssssseeeeee

I have several that won't touch a rat and eat asf's only so I know your pain.
I've tried all the "tricks" and the two asf eaters I have absolutely refuse to be tricked into eating a rat :rolleye2:

Good luck, maybe persistence will pay off?

Well if they are eating mice but not rats asf's won't help you :P
Asf's aren't much bigger than mice so they aren't much of a step up in terms of getting more weight gain.
Keep offering weekly, I slip in rats every other feeding just to see if they will take them, if they don't right away I pull the rat and give it an asf :snake:

It happens you can either persevere and be patient, of course this should only be done with animals that have a good body weight because they need to be able to handle weeks even months without food.

Some snakes have nothing to do with rats I have an 06 male that will not touch a rat no matter what trick you use.

I have a female that used to be the same, even after long fast (9 months) she would still not touch a rat until very recently now she cannot have enough of them. (Took 4 years to switch that girl )
