    well im just looking around right now for a male fire but i wont purchase one till the summer and im planing on getting a female vanilla. and if they produce offspring i would like to know how to tell them apart.

    while both vary in color alot, their color to me is still different enough to tell them apart

    I do think there is a difference in color, but I hear it is very difficult to tell them apart at first if you breed a fire to a vanilla. If the line of fire you work with has the railroad tracking on the belly, that can help. Also, fire have more blushing on the sides, and flames. They should be easier to differentiate after a few sheds.
