    My ASF setup
today i expanded my ASF colony from 9 1.2 groups to 15 1.2 groups. the extra tanks should help with me having enough breeding groups up to age when it is time to retire out a group. no more waiting for a new group. I know a rack system would be a lot less work but living in an apartment building the last thing i need it have one get out. i like using a few more 10 gal tanks vs 20 long they are easier to clean.

i set up my new groups 1 dark brown and 2 light brown or the other way around. probably not necessary just makes it easy to pick out the male and females.

i only have the five 10 gal tanks for feeders at this time. i will need to get a few more.

i love breeding ASF over Mice or Rats. Mice had a smell i couldn't stand and didn't get very big. Rats were way too hard to have the right size all the time. i was always gassing off extras every week that were too large. the ASF's do take a while to get up to size but never outgrow feeder size.

Looking good. I keep my soft fur tanks on a rack too, makes it nice and neat.
