What if the prey has recently been medicated?
I work in a pet store and we have a group of rats that have been medicated with Baytril for what will be at least 20 days. The store I work in sells rats as both pets and feeders, so I was wondering if anyone on here knew of any published research that showed implications that feeding a snake a rat that had been on medication could lead to ill-effects in the snake. Does anyone know how long medication remains in the rats tissues? I am trying to put together a packet of information to pass on to the managers of the store so that we can avoid selling these rats as feeders, since they have been medicated.
