    heat vs. locks
    maybe a stupid thought but i wonder what % of locks happen on the cool end as compared to the warm end of the enclosure.

    I'm not a breeder yet, but I think they happen more on the hot side. I could be wrong tough.

    mine are locked up on the hot side right now and havent left it in about a day. so its prolly the hot side that most of the dirty dancing goes on

    I've found mine locked on both sides. I've never noticed one over the other.

    I am sure snakes like to do it on the hot side since they are cold blooded.

    Hi,

    I can't say I have been paying any real attention to this part of the breeding process but it seems, from the dark hints of memory, that most of mine have been on the cool side.

    Maybe that was simply because that was where the building female was sitting rather than any more complex reason - my black pastel is locked with Cora on the hot side at the moment so it's not a definate one or the other.
