Do all males start producing sperm plugs at age of 2 and above 600 grams?

Weight is more important than age, but those are generalizations. It is possible to breed them at under a year in age (just because it's possible doesn't mean that you should, however), and likewise you can have an older male that isn't of the correct weight (in which case, he's not healthy enough to breed even though he might be producing plugs).

I just wanted to say that I disagree with this, particularly for male BPs.

350, 400 gram males will produce sperm plugs if they're old enough.

It's not really weight or age - sexual maturity is an individualistic trait, and there's no way of really predicting it with certainty, but in general most males will be ready to breed around their second winter OR at the proper weight.

That's not to say that some males can't breed earlier, nor is it to say that some aren't able to breed until later on in life. It just depends on the individual.

Weight nor age is a determining factor. You can breed a male at 6 months old if you get weight on him AND he is sexually mature. Then you could also breed a male on his second winter and he won't be sexual mature, even if his weight is ok. I have a mojo that is on his second winter, but is a bad feeder so he's small for a 09. He *should* be sexually mature according to his age, but his weight isn't quite up to par so he's not breeding for me. There are plenty of breeders that get their 6 month males up to a breedable weight, some will breed, some won't.

In my opinion it's a combo, but it can be altered if the snake matures early.

But he still produces plugs right, whether sexually matured or not?
