    health question?
I have a great clown male, sorry no pic my camera broke, but he has developed 2 little soars under his jaw, reddish brown color, was wondering if this could be the start of a dermal infection, i am going to take him to the vet but just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation, and if they no a treatment , i read that neosporin can help any help appreciated.

Not much I can suggest without pictures. Might be a infection, might be a feeding wound, might just be him rubbing on something. If you use neosporin or any other antibiotic ointment make sure its the regular stuff with no "pain relief" stuff in it. Also you are better off getting the AAA or whatever the cheapest antibiotic-no-pain-relief-ointment you can get as the name brand stuff is no better than the cheap stuff.

I would say the likely cause of this is rubbing, especially if they are symmetrical, this makes infection much more unlikely. If you feed live, it could be related to a mild injury also. Applying some snake friendly neo or antibiotic ointment about once or twice a day should do the trick. If it seems to be getting worse after around a week, try to get your BP looked at by a professional. :gj:

    Hi,

Any signs of something amiss on the inside of his mouth?

Do you feed live or F/T?

Is it in two small spots or are they fairly big patches in comparison to normal rodent bite for example?

i do feed live and he was fine a week ago, there not big but you do notice them, i checked inside his mouth and there where no soars or discoloration, but i noticed his jaw is very slightly out of line which it never was before, maybe it was from a mouse he ate.

Might be something the mouse did, but without any picture it is hard to say.
When in doubt, visit a vet.
Better to have checked then to be sorry you didn't act in time.
