So I got my RBI 201 Temp gun/ pen
    http://www.reptilebasics.com/rbi-201.html

It came in a nice packaging... in a plastic retail case surrounded by balled up newspaper. It worked right out of the box, and showed me that my queen elizabeth's hot side was at about 90, and the cool side was at about 79 :D

As a side note: I was holding Queen Elizabeth because she pooped today so I was cleaning her tank... and the box that the temp pen came in was sitting near me and she slithered off of me and into the box!!! She looked so nestled and cute... so i cut a hole in the side of it and cut off the four flaps on the top and put it in her tank after cleaning it on top of her hot side's hide... she has been crawling in it and out of it and ontop of it since... she seems very excited to have it in her tank... just thoght id share :D

yea :D its a great little temp pen... its kinda weird to use at first... and you have to use it in light because the screen is not illuminated and when you hold the pen over the area you want to measure... you have to like tilt your head to see the screen that shows temp... so you kinda hold it at at an angle with the edge of the temp end of the pen pressing against the surface and u can easily see the temp and still get a pretty accurate temp
