    Multiple sheds?
I have a young ball born in mid-late '10. He completed a shed about 3 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago he weighed 80 grams. Before his shed we fed him mouse fuzzies, but since he shed he's been on hopper sized mice and rats. I know young snakes shed more frequently but 3 weeks seems very quick! Did the increase in food size cause a quicker shed?

    Hi,

    Sounds reasonable to me. :)

Sounds normal to me, especially for young snakes like that. They grow like weeds.

My adult albino florida kingsnake did the same thing. He shed on 12/13 & shed again on 12/14. I thought maybe I just mixed up what snakes shed. Then I looked at the length of the sheds & they were the same length & I don't have any other florida kingsnakes that are around his size.

Thanks for the help, guys. His humidity is looking good, hopefully this shed will go better. Does anyone ever adjust their temps during a shed?

If they need it or seem to be taking a while I may up the humidity or spray them down with water. My normal just shed yesterday and he was in blue for about a week and a half the last shed, I consider that a rough one for him as he is usually in and out in 5 days. This go around I made sure the humidity was right and gave him a few sprays and he did much better. I dont know others views on this though.

If I know one is blue for a while longer then normal I give it a good long warm bath once a day or 2. usualy after the 2nd good soak it will do a clean full shed.
