    Are rat pups already weaned?
I picked up a dozen or so rat pups today, eyes still closed. I'm assuming that means they are not weaned? If so, how should I feed them until their eyes open/they start eating solid food? I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask. If not, I apologize. Thanks for any info you can provide.

they arent ready to be weaned till their eating and drinking on their own.

Eyes closed is indicator their still suckling the mom and not ready.

That's what I thought. Considering I don't have access to a female rat, what should I do? Warm milk in an eyedropper?

You can try it but most do better on enfamil baby formula

Alright. Thanks. I'll try and scrounge up some cash to get some.

I wouldn't even attempt it. I would just freeze them for use at a later date. I have done the dropper feeding routine for one rat before, but could never in my wildest dreams imagine doing it for twelve LOL.

Rich is correct. I had two pups that still had their eyes closed and I used Enfamil baby formula and they did just fine.

They are doing well, starting to open their eyes and explore other food sources. I'm not the one feeding them, though. I'll be the one feeding them to the snake :). If I freeze them, he won't eat them. Picky little....
