Feeding problem....Please help!

Ok, I adopted a normal BP two weeks ago. He was on a f/t diet! I got him on a Sunday. Then tried to feed him on Thursday to keep him on his schedule. He wouldn't do anything with a f/t. So, I tried a live and still nothing. I left him alone then tried again on Sunday to try and get him on the same schedule as my other BP's. Well, still nothing. Left him alone for the whole week and tried again yesterday. I put the f/t in there and left it over night and woke up this morning and there was still a dead f/t rat in there. So, it's been two weeks since we've had him and 17 days since he's ate! I know adult BP's can go a while without eating. But, I just want the guy to eat. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any guidence! The Zombie Rat Dance scares the snake! He turns and goes the other way!!! LOL!!!!

I have one that has been off feed since early October and a few others that are also weeks into fasting. He may be more interested in your girls if you have them in the same room (it's that time of the season). The only thing I'd suggest would be to keep offering. I'm sure he'll eventually come around. Maybe try feeding him first, that way if he doesn't take it, you could at least give it to one of the others. Good luck!

This is the time of year that they will fast if they are of breeding size, also with the relocation, he may have needed more time to acclimate, leave him be, no handling except for cage cleaning, try offering food again in 7-10 days.

I have an adult male spider I got Oct 15th and he has been so into the breeding season, he hasn't eaten for me AT ALL. I worried at first, but I know its normal and he has only lost 60 grams, so he's just fine. How big is your bp?

My females are all Juvi's and kept in a different room. Not sure if this would make a difference. My oldest female was born in June.

I understand fasting so to say. But, he's the only one out of five that isn't eating.

He is a adult whom was kept in a small tank and underfed. So, he's short. He weighed 632 g on the 19 Dec and I just weighed him and he topped the scale at 552 g 3 Jan. So, he's lost 80 g in 15 days.

my bp is about 3.5 feet male, and hasnt eaten since maybe october.. i made the mistake of placing an albino female ball in his cage, when i bought it for my girlfriend, and then takin her away. would that have instigated the hunger strike? i offer every week, but its getting pretty pricey, having to give the rat away after he doesnt eat....

I have a mice & rats I breed. So, that's not a issue! LOL! I just want the guy to EAT! UGH!!!!!

Well, he wouldn't go for F/T last nite or this mornin. But, I tried a live hopper this afternoon. Well, HE FINALLY ATE! YAAY!!!!!!!
