Looking for help/in-put???
I have a couple of designs for so ball enclosures.
Problem is the interior...........
I am thinking of using counter top laminate, but my wife is worried about the use of contact cement and "if" one of the panels comes loose due to the heat.
Paint/Poly/Sealer of some type is the other option but l know they usually dont do well in high humidity and can start lifting or flaking so I am worried about this.
A little more information, they will be made out of 3/4 oak ply and there will be a piece of glass cut into the floor so I can still use a heat-mat for belly heat (I know this is unorthidox(sp) but I just dont want the mat inside the enclosure.).
Size will be 36"L x24"D x either 14or18"tall
I use coco husk mixed with aspen for bedding and the coco hold humidity really well, though I know I will not need as much coco in the mix when the enclosures are set up, but this is my worry for using paint. Should I have some coco in a wet clump sitting on the painted floor, there is a chance that the paint might bubble and lift.
I will be staining the outside and poly.
I am just looking for ideas for products that are known to work well in ball python enclosures because I dont want to have to rebuild in a couple years.:confused:
(and before it goes there, racks and tubs are NOT an option for us PERIOD)
