What should his girlfriend be like?
I'm going to be getting into a breeding project with black pastels, but thought I'd go for some albino stuff too, and I'm going out to Ottawa tomorrow and figured I'd check some local reptile stores because albinos are getting pretty common. I figured I could get a female to someday breed with my normal male, Maynard.

What kind of traits would you look for in an albino female to pair with him? I was going to look for some saddling because he has a couple and some bright colours cause he's fairly bright, but thought it would be interesting to see what others think.

This is him, 361g on empty, fairly recent pics:

As inexpensive as some morphs are I wouldn't spend all that time raising a female albino to breed her to a normal and get only het albinos.

Breed an inexpensive morph to her to make some holdovers and have a few to sell to pay for the time spent doing the project.

If you get 5 eggs first breeding and make 3(insert morph here) het albinos and 2 normals that are het for albino then you've got numerous options depending on the sex's of those babies.

One co-dom het albino should be worth more than the whole clutch of het albinos from your normal male.

Or save during the time she's growing up and get a male albino for a whole clutch of albinos :)

If you really like his markings, get an ENCHI female to breed to him eventually. His markings are very enchi like already. :D

Also get an albino female. Then in a year or two, get a black pastel het albino male. BANG your project is off to a good start.

Of course, by that time you may decide not to stud your normal male at all (poor normal males never get no lovin') ... you can put your black pastel het albino to your enchi and have a chance to make black pastel enchi 50% het albino. With any luck, you make a male and then a year later you pair him with your albino and with a lot more luck ... bang black pastel enchi albinos!

He is a nice normal however I personally would keep him as a pet and invest in both male and female of the morph you like rather than waste a female morph by breeding her to a normal (she could produce a combo instead ;)).

Price have come down and it's not hard to find something nice to invest in at a budget and getting a head start on your projects.
