I have never had a ball python strike and not eat. Hopefully someone can give a little insight on this problem.

Go ahead and try the weaned rat again. Stick with those until he puts on at least a couple hundred more grams...then try a small. If he'll eat the weaned-size regularly...and you feed him every week...he'll be getting plenty of food. ;)

Yea I will try this out does anyone know of good website I can get frozen rats at a good price where shipping is not going to kill me

Thats just it he will snag it and stay wrapped like he is killing it he doesnt drop it.... I will try the weaned i guess
