Hi, I'm Jennifer. I just got a snake for my daughter for Christmas. My daughter is 9 and has loved snakes her whole life (she get's it from me) and has wanted one for a long time. The snake is a 5 month old female Pastel Ball Python that I got from The Snake Keeper. I got her on 12/7 and was able to keep her hidden until Christmas day!!! My daughter named her Sylvia right away. Sylvia is an awesome and beautiful snake. I kind of expected her to be shy, but she really isn't. She eats frozen/thawed with no problem. I kept her in a 15 qt sterilite until Christmas, when I put her in her new 36" x 24" x 14" cage from Constrictors Northwest and she ate an f/t adult mouse this morning. I'd like to feed her weaned rats, but I'm afraid they're to big and the pet stores don't have rat pups. I was a little worried that the large cage would stress her out, but it doesn't seem to. She does have 5 hides and some other stuff in there so maybe that helps. I had a few snakes (2 Ball Pythons and a Red Tail Boa) when I was younger, but I'll talk about them later.
Well that's all for now. Talk to you all later.
