    Leachie Info please
For those of you that have some of these cool looking critters, I've got a few questions I hope you don't mind answering.

    1) Are they hard to care for? Humidity req. similar to cresteds? Enclosure size for an adult?
    2) What do they eat? Can they eat Crested Gecko diet?
    3) How are they with being handled? Nippy?

    Thanks in advance!

    1. Easy to care for basically the same as a crested gecko just a larger enclosure. The typically hide inside of tree hollows during the day in the wild. So I would encourage you to make a corkbark hollow for the security of the lizard.

2.CGD provides is a complete diet and works just as well with Leachies too.

3.Depends on the lizard and the amout of time its handled. They could range for fairly docile to completely feisty.

RhacHead, have you ever worked with or owned Halmaheras? If so, same questions for them + are many bred in captivity because I've only found WC for sale.

    1) Similar to cresteds
    2) they can feed solely on CGD
    3) it depends on the individual. I've seen both extremes. A leachie bite isn't fun.

that book has some great leachie info. I don't know why Repashy's website has it listed at $100, I picked mine up for under $40.

On halmaheras, I've only ever seen WCs as well. I've heard about people breeding them, but never talked to anyone who has done it.

I know very little about Halmaheras. I know they can be purchased for a fraction of the price earning them the name "poor mans Leachie". I don't think alot of people work with them so I'm not sure how easy it would be to get a CB. If your looking for a large gecko gecko that alot of people are working with I would go Leachie or even possibly a Tokay(with all the new morphs coming out they are only going to gain popularity) If your looking for a cool New caledonian I would suggest looking into a Chahoua or agricolae
