    Fair Market Value
Decided to start a completely different thread to a very similar question that I've asked before, but about a different animal: Can anyone give me an estimate of what the fair market value is for an '08 Female Albino (decent contrast) that weighs 990 grams? Thank you in advance for your help.

I would say a rough estimate of around $500-$750. If she were breeding weight
(Between 1200-1500 grams) it would probably reach around four digits. But $500-$750 is a very fair price.

Wow, that's a very broad range and a lot lower on the low end than I thought. I was thinking $700-$800. What sort of factors would make her a $500 vs. $800 animal?

I'd post a picture, but I haven't figured out how to do it yet

Post your pic to photobucket, and then get the .img format I think ( It will say for forums )

But I'm sure you could sell her for that being a female, but you'd have to find someone in the "Albino BP business"

The factors most BP collectors will look at is; 1.) size (Over 1200g is a big plus)
    And 2.) coloration

Being a female she will be worth considerably more than a male.
But I think you could go to any reptile show offering $500-$750 and get that rather quickly as far as that goes. But if you have plenty of time $800 wouldn't be too much to ask, but don't expect very many bites in a short amount of time. The best idea would be to wait a while, if you really want to sell, until she is breeding size; this is comparable to gold plating your snake :D
At breeding size she could easily go for $1,000

I gotta move to Ohio! :O We're lucky if we get 2 shows a year in AZ, and you're getting a really good deal if you pick up a female albino hatchling for under $400, and this girl weighs more than ten times what a hatchling/baby weighs. How many shows a year can you hit?

I agree with Levi. Her plus is being female and not a hatchling, but she's still subadult so she doesn't trigger that 'breeder' cha-ching that a little bit larger snake would.

You can set whatever price you like, but whether you get a fast sale depends on whether a buyer sees her who will value her as much as you do. If they are looking for a albino female to breed to a hatchling male, it's perfect. By the time the hatchling male is ready, she'll be big enough too. But if they want to breed immeidately.. they'd pass unless she's a 'great deal'.

You might easily hit that buyer as soon as you list her. You can always list her at the best price you hope to get.. or higher, and then see what offers you get. Expect to get lowballers. They'll tell you that $200 is a great price and they can get albino females twice as big as yours for $180 at a show.. etc etc etc. Figure out the absolute lowest you will part with her, price her at what you hope to get for her"best case" and know that you'll most likely end up selling her for something between those two.

depending on looks I would list a 900+ gram female albino for less than $1000

    She's an '08 and only 990 grams?

She's worth what someone is willing to pay. But if you want a real number estimate, I would say somewhere in the neighborhood of $700 to $900, with the high end being an offer from someone NEEDING a sub adult Albino. Realistically, I would say somewhere around $700-$750. Once she gets to breeding size, 1500 grams, you can probably ask for $1 a gram.

Early last year, I bought a 1200 gram female Albino for $800. So, the deals are out there. But if you don't need the money immediately, put her up for sale for $900. You can always take a lower offer, but it's really hard to get more once you set a lower price.

    Good Luck!

Nothing wrong with this not every female will reach breeding weight in there 3rd winter. She could technically be a Dec hatch and at 990 could potentially go late in the season.
