UTHs and Foil tape

I recall reading somewhere, that this is a good way to cover the glue thus making the UTH reuseable. My plan is to cover the glue with the tape, and then use tape to hold the UTH onto the tank glass.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

I've just left the glue alone and used the tape around the entire edge of the UTH. It works quite well.

By "glue" im guessing your talking about the adhesive that is already on one side of the UTH? If it is new then just stick it to the bottom how it says to, then if you do need to reuse it then yes foil tape is a great way to make it stick on when the adhesive side no longer stick (like after you take it off of another tank). I use foil tape to stick on old UTHs that I have laying around. I normally stick it around the outside of the UTH to hold it on and it works great.

:) You just leave the paper over the adhesive and use the foil tape all around the edges of the UTH. Works great.
