Weird feeding today and I panicked
I hooked up my new Helix thermostat today and gave the tank a good cleaning.

After I was finished and got the temps where I wanted them I put everything back in and decided to feed because it is feeding day and Saraphen is a really good eater so I pretty much knew the moving around would not bother her.

I put the mouse in the enclosure and it got on the side of the water bowl and just sat there. The hunt was on and my little snake started stalking her prey. I figured when she struck it she would pull it down off the water bowl but she went headlong into the water bowl and started constricting the mouse half under water. I freaked out opened the lid and gently pulled her out of the water bowl with the mouse still in her mouth being constricted. I did notice when she was constricting she was keeping her nose out of the water so I am sure she was fine. She ate the wet mouse and seems to be dong fine but I think I am going to go back to taking the water bowl out while feeding.

its ok for that to happen. i have had it happen multiple times and i just pull them out and lay them back down. if ur feeding live its hard to control where ur snake will strike and coil, but with f/t i will offer away from the bowl just to prevent this, even tho its not a problem at all. and good job cleaning and giving ur snakes a good home. :gj:

My big burm hit and constructed her rabbit under water. There was no way I could have gotten her out of there
