Should i get this het pied?

She is selling this 100% het for pied male for forty dollars. she says he was proven out by the breeder she got him from but she has no paper. he also looks like he has some other stuff besides just a normal het for pied. maybe you guys could tell me what he might have. one more thing, is pied recessive, co-dominate, or dominate?

    LadyOhh
Pied is recessive, and unless you trust this lady, I wouldn't count on him being a Het Pied.

If you want a Het for sure, get one from a trusted source.

    Otherwise, you are gambling.

    Good luck with your decision!

With hets there's no way of telling if you're being lied to, so I would only get a het from a trusted breeder or one with papers if I were in your shoes. However, forty dollars isn't a bad price even if it's not het because it does look like it could be an interesting dinker nonetheless.

    Your call.

You can try looking through Fauna Classifieds to find some people, or you could try a big breeder, most are willing to ship...

Visual pieds are pretty damned expensive, so unless you can drop 1500 to 2000 (depending on the breeder and the quality of the snake) to get a visual pied, then you might consider going for hets and breeding down the road.

Lol yeah. Pieds aren't cheap. Yeah, guys like BHB, NERD, all the well-known guys are usually very good because they have a big rep to maintain, so they'll take care of you.
