    Feeding question....
...I adopted a two normal BP's on Sunday. Well, today was feed day. Since we adopted them and aren't fostering them. My wife and I decided not to feed them f/t anymore. So, tonight we offered one a nice warm live meal. Well, he just looked at it for about 15 minutes. So, I remove the mouse. I guess I need to try again tomorrow? Any suggestions???? I adopted 2 BP's and the smaller of the two nailed his mouse and actually ended up in the water dish to eat it! It was rather interesting.......never scene a snake eat a meal in water!

I would wait at least 5 days before you attempt to feed that snake a mouse again. Offering a meal to often will really stress a snake out.

x2 if they were feeding fine on f/t I would leave it that way.

switching them over is your prerogative, I'm not here to give you the pros and cons of feeding live v.s. f/t but it might just be that if it doesn't take live you should just leave it on F/T. It might be better to get a few meals into them so they can adjust on a full stomach, and then switch them once they're established in your house.

I have 3 other snakes who all eat live. I have a Mice Colony and the dead mice in my freezer is a NO-GO! I've had people tell me it's just like Steak, Fish, Chicken and Pork Chops. But, I don't plan on cooking the mice or rats! So, them in my freezer is not going to happen. I tried to feed Snake Eyes another F/T today with no luck. But, the other 3 all ate again! My babies are going to get fat! LOL!
