This never gets old!

These two have stay power too! This lock is going on 30+ hours and their last lock was 24+ hours! This is her first season, so I hope she goes! I've been praying to the BEL gods! :please:

She is around 1400 grams empty now, but still eating like a horse. I was going to wait until next season, but the excitement got the best of me. :rolleyes:

I know! I have been watching her closely since she passed the 1000 gram mark in August thinking "I wonder if she'll be big enough to breed this year?". Then she reached 1300 grams and i kept thinking "could she be ready?". Needless to say...I threw my male in one night and they locked for 24+ hours...Now two weeks later they have been locked for 30+ hours. The BEL has always been one of my dream snakes, so I am pumped!

Excuse my ignorance but, how many times do you usually pair them while she is in season? Will she refuse him if the previous locks were sucessful?

You pair them for several months while the follicle develope. She will usually start refusing once she has ovulated.
