    Gonna be wiring 4" 8 watt flexwatt..I have 4 sheets of 3 feet and was wondering what gauge wire i should use for the jumpers i could go one piece but don't really want to...Thanks

    I am assuming your trying to wire the flexwatt in parallel. I am unsure about the guage size that is a question for Rich over at Reptile Basics. He is a great guy and will get back to you today most likely.

    Well you should use 16 gauge or larger just to be safe. 18-22 gauge is too small to carry a that large of a load. I used 16 gauge wire for my rack of 8 shelves which each have a foot and half of 4 inch flex-watt.

    16 gauge should work just fine. I just bought a few extension cords from lowes for a 1.14 each and they are 6 feet long 16 gauge and rated at 1625 watts.they were also UL listed. when I use these I just cut off the ends or just the one end, what ever you need.
