Genetic banded spider or reduced spider?

I was just going through some pics of random morphs and saw this.

My issue is it looks EXCATLY like a spider I produced last year. I breaded a bumble bee and a normal. The normal has a reduced patern. lower pic is mine, upper link is the sites.

Think my normal is something different?? or did I just hit it real lucky on a cool reg spider??

Just a reduced Spider, i don't see any bands in the picture you posted. A beautiful snake, but it is only what you have bred him to be, a Spider with a really nice pattern.

I'm going to go with what was said above, a really nice reduced spider. That normal is a normal you should keep.

& you breaded your snakes? did you intend on eating them? :P ( lol I'm just teasing you)

Understand.. :) but Idon't see a major difference in the 2003 nerd pic either..

That isn't the best pic I posted.. I'll try to find a beter one.. they are almost excatly alike..

I hope I can produce more, I only solded that redcuced spider to try to get my BEL. I even priced it high not wanting to get rid of it.. but it sold.. and is in good hands and looks great now too.. :)

That reduced you showed has more pattern on the side of the snake then mine.. yes, the top is less but not the sides.. Wish I had better pics then these.. Think there was only 5 or so stripes top to bottem on the whole body.

Reduced doesn't mean less side pattern, it means over all reduced pattern. Your spider has much pattern on the top half of it's body. That spider I showed you is about as reduced as they come, probably the absolute best example of a reduced spider.
What you are referring to is a barbwire back spider. The pattern looks like a barbwire strip running along the spine with no real patterns on it's sides.
As well as there is no such thing as a "genetic banded" spider. If so that would include bands that wrap around the spiders body horizontally, which yours doesn't have.

The idea of the genetic banded spider I got from a pic I linked above saying from NERD that it's a "Gentic Banded x Spider" back in 2003.. So you might want to call them up and say they were wrong....

Never heard of a Barbwire back spider... Since it came from a normal and a bumble bee and only ended up with the spider gene and what seems to be the reduced pattern from the mom I would of called it a reduced pattern spider, since the pattern is reduced from a normal spider.

While I can't speak for Mike, I can say I read through these threads and it didn't sound like he was attacking you, simply trying to clarify the differences in spider patterns. I know it's sometimes difficult to read as you can't convey tonality in a forum post, but I personally didn't get the sense that he was being a jerk.

That being said, you've produced a very nice animal. I generally feel that it is a reduced pattern spider. I also know what you're talking about with regard to GRP (genetic reduced pattern or "banded" looking animals.) There's an example of one in the headhunters guide to morphs sticky. It's kind of like a Woma but a little darker and without the head pattern, just blushing.

Anyway - great looking snake. I hope it is genetic and you are able to reproduce it as I would enjoy owning one of them :)
