How to tell if RI meds are working

So how do u tell other then obvious wheezing stops

puffiness in head should be reduced or gone - snake will be more comfortable laying flat than when their was fluid buildup - many times a snake with uri will run its head up the side of the enclosure in an attempt to keep the fluid from filling its lungs
