    herpstat probe melting,need heating help
My apartment is super cold. Today when I checked on my probe was almost melting and my power was at 100%! I had put clamp lamps on the tanks to add extra heat. Does this mean alotta trouble? I bought a ten dollar room heater from Walmart as a temporary problem solution. But I can't leave it running all the time. Any one have any info they could offer? Should I just get a rack? Any help would be awesome.

if the probe is melting then its not functioning properly. Contact manufacture for replacement probe.

Home Depot (and therefore probably just about most home improvement stores) sell what I call "shrink wrap for windows". This helps insulation a TON, and I'm able to keep my apartment a bit warmer. I probably spent $15-20 to do the windows in my apartment.
