    But wouldn't pastel X pastel produce all super pastels? Or would it be 50/50 pastel super pastel

    Yep yep. Pastels still carry the normal gene. You need a super pastel to avoid getting any normal babies.

    Pastel has 1 pastel gene and 1 normal gene.. 50% chance on which on it passes on and it only passes 1 of them. A SUPER pastel has both pastel genes and no normal, so it will pass 1 pastel gene no mater what. to make a SUPER pastel you need both parents to pass 1 pastel gene each.
