    What kind is this?
I bought it as a lemon pastel, but I'm not sure.

This one was taken without a flash and on my phone, so you can't see the color that well, but it's a good shot of the blushing?

Thank you for that lol! And thank the rest of you for not jumping me over this question. I definitely don't want this thread turning out like that one :colbert:. I'm new to this hoppy and I really want to breed these beautiful animals, but I don't know where to start. This is my first snake and I feel as if I'm taking great care of her. Could someone with experience tell me if this particular one would be worth breeding?

It's really hard to say for sure without knowing the genetics. If I had to guess I would agree with the breeder calling him a lemon because of the neck stripe. It's not solid, but they aren't all solid. He doesn't really have blushing if you were thinking Graziani.

Here is my lemon, his sire came directly from NERD.

Here is my graziani, notice the blushing is the 'burnouts' on her spine.

Don't worry about getting jumped. It's a perfectly fine question to ask. Some people are just touchie ;) Most breeders would tell you honestly what line of pastel they are working with. In my case, I really don't know what will happen when I breed those two together. I will just have to tell people they are lemonxgraziani pastel babies and leave it at that. Some people say I will be able to tell what the babies are lemon or granziani, and other say they will mix. I'm not sure anyone knows definitively. I've also been told that the lines have been so intermixed already by people breeding double/triple morph snakes with pastel that they don't know what line of pastel/s they are mixing and those pastels get thrown in the mix with everything else.

Whatever he is he's very pretty!!!

Without paper work there is no way to tell if it is actually from the NERD line of pastels

I would call it.....YOUR pastel. That thing is gorgeous! looks like it's going to color out real nice. Definately something to keep in the breeding lines. By The Way......look me up when he has babies. ;)
