    Had a few requests for an update on this boy. He is doin his thing so far this season and breeding like crazy.

    Not sure if you can see it in this pic but his green pastel eyes are now dark black.

    looks liek it went way past the browning out phase, and just entered the dark phase LOL. that's so sick!

    He is NOT an axanthic bee. The only accusations when I first posted him were that the pic was fake. When he first "changed" he was axanthicish looking and a light gray. Now he has darkened up some and looks light black lol.

    lol yeah i've heard of spiders doing stuff like that. and normals losing all piments and coming back again. its kewl huh?

    my normal girl was green last week and now she's chocolate brown. im so not kidding!

    Is this the guy who lost his color or has he always been like this. For some reason I was thinking a female spider had lost all her pigment....this is probably totally different. Whatever is going on with that boy he's awesome!

    He lost his color at about 300 grams or so. He started out as a smoking regular bee. Not expecting anything wierd out of him but I love him because he looks so unique.
