    Soaking sick snake?
I have a rescue snake here and her vent is irritated and crusty. I want to soak her in 80F water but how long should I soak her for and should I try to clean the vent area with a clean rag afterwards?

I dont like soaking ball pythons, they dont seem to like it to much...... I would soak only long enough to soften the "crusted" skin.... In my experience putting the animal in a damp pillowcase works best for getting bad sheds off..... I wet the pillow case with warm water put the snake in, and leave it over night, usually takes care of it.... Puttin the pillow case over a warm spot in the cage seems to help also...hope this helps
