    looking into the desert lesser
anyone know who may be actively breeding this morph?
i'm trying to create a list of "future hopefuls" (morphs i want in the future - pets only)

so far all i got is
    1) mojave (already aquired)
    2) pumpkin pied
    3) ?? to be determined ??

but the desert lesser looks pretty awesome.
anyone know how much of a color change they go through when they're maturing?
edit: oh and also it's s'pposed to result from a pairing of a desert with a lesser platinum.

Desert Lesser...I'm not sure what they look like as adults (I think both hold color pretty well, so I wouldn't expect much of a change). This would be one EXPENSIVE pet! :D

why do you say expensive? is it a really new morph?

It's the desert gene that will make it expensive. Any desert combo right now is pretty high. Check into the pastel lesser, they are a little more reasonable and IMO look better.

Yeah you're looking at close to 10k for a lesser desert.

I've never seen one for sale before, but I was going to guess 8-10K or even more.

ok i just got an email from ralph at ralphdavisreptiles.com. he's produced desert lessers and sells them for $4,500 ea.
    yikes...
i'm really only willing to go up to $1,000 for a snake so i guess that one is outta my range. :(
fatboy - thx for the suggestion. i'll take a look.

Honestly I'm not all that stunned by that desert lesser. Not that cool of a morph to me, but i'm sure as an adult they look awesome, but right now it just looks like a lesser.

I agree with Frankie, the pastel lessers are AMAZING and have amazing yellows to them. That would be my choice and would save you a ton of money.

Plus if i was going to spend anywhere near $10,000 on a snake, i wouldn't settle for anything less than a Banana or Starburst Candy Piebald.

ok, i saw the lesser pastel and i guess they're pretty cool, i'm just not a big fan of yellow so i would hope that the yellow in it doesn't end up looking like lemon yellow...

Well the Pastel Lesser is meant to have higher yellows, so if you don't like the yellows, it's probably not the snake for you.

What were you looking for in the new morph? Tans or golds? Or just darker colors in general?
