ball python wont poop

my ball python hasnt pooped in a while (at least a month) and feels hard. she is deep blue and about to shead. she has been being breed to my male so i dont know if that could have something to do with it. i soaked her in the tub for about a half hour a couple of days ago. not sure what to do i would like to avoid a vet vist if at all possible

edit: she is 1600g 50" in a 41qt. tub humidity and temps are spot on and still eating whenever offered

Was she off of food?

I'd bet that she lays a huge one in the tub right after she sheds. I'd almost put money on it!!

You guys pretty much summed up what I was going to say! Mine has a habit of holding it before he sheds and then drops about half his body weight.

Yep. Gene did the same thing, didn't poop for a good month and then BAM! He shed and it was like Christmas time, except there was no tree and the presents were little piles of smelly stuff.

Just clean her enclosure. It never seems to fall that mine will go within hours of cleaning them. I really think they just like to see my work.:D

expect a large pile of Christmas present when your snake finishes its shed :D my big normal male holds his pee in too, he likes to do it all at once, saves me the trouble of cleaning twice :D

Aint this the truth.

I sold a hatchling last week to a local shop and told them she was due to drop.

Five seconds after he put her in the new tub the tail lifted and all heck broke loose. :rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

She must have dropped 20% of her weight and kept looking round as if even she couldn't believe it. :O

I couldn't stop laughing at the guys face. :D
