u can put the frozen prey under a heat lamp for a little while. dont feed till they take the frozen prey somtimes it just takes not giving up. my blood wouldent take frozen forever till i made it like it was trying to bite him but i never tried that with a bp tho. you can also put a hole in its head to spill some brain matter.

After fully thawing the frozen rat, use a hair dryer and heat it both sides. My bp's like them hot :D Use tongs to offer the rat and simulate a live rat crawling inside the enclosure or just let the rat do a dance in front of your snake :taz: Always use tongs! Good luck!

I think it has something to do with the hair drier. The hot water defrosts them but the drier heats them up alot and gets their fur fluffy agian.

This is how I do it also. I'm working on making a video for this subject. It's no where near ready, but I went ahead and threw together some of the raw footage into a quick video. Once it has finished uploading I'll post it...

Ok! Here it is. I ran through some of the raw footage and tried to piece together some of the main pointers so my clip and split points aren't very precise. Also, since I haven't edited in a good narrative yet, you get to listen to my monotone ramblings. I will replace this with the finished video once I get done with it, but hopefully it will help out until then...

Heat the FT up until it's extremely warm to the touch (I use hot tap water). If that doesn't work by itself, then rub the FT in rat or mouse pee (depending on what the snake was eating live). That virtually always does the trick. There are a few that just plain won't do it, regardless of how many tricks you try, but most of them will eventually come around.
