Male not eating
When do you start worring about your breeding male when he stops eating? Mine has skipped 2 meals and only took a small meal before that. He is at 678 now and was at 748 4 weeks ago( he took a big dump right after weighing).. not a big lose and the first miss meal was when he started shedding and now he is just finished shedding.
My females are still eating like pigs. I'm just starting his 3 days rest and thinking of giving him another chance at a meal after those 3 days and let him rest again. He is bouncing between 2 females with 2-4 days rest inbetween.

Males will go off feed during the winter months! I have a male that was a great eater until he got about 800 grams and now only eats every 3 to 4 weeks! When he looks like he is skinny then I would stop breeding him! I would breed him to each female once a month! Breed him to one female wait two weeks and breed to the other female this way you don't wear him out!

Re: Male not eating
With smaller males like your is, you need to keep a close eye on them. If he doesn't want to eat, you'll have to keep him away from females or risk losing him. Males can be sex maniacs and breed themselves to death. You need to make sure they get some rest and food. They can go from King Stud(Fatboy) one day, to Kind Dud(Ozzy) the next.:rofl:

Thanks. Since he locked up with both my females in the last 2 weeks I'll give the guy a good long rest and see if I an get some food in him. Just worried me because last year he never quit eating but also didn't gain much weight..
