OK SO I WAS CURIOUS TO SEE IF PUTTING MY "MALE BUTTER IN WITH MY 1000GRAM MALE PASTEL WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE QUARTING MY FEMALE NORMAL. HE'S ONLY 250GRAMS(THE BUTTER MALE) BUT HE WASN'T IN DANGER I PUT HIM IN A SMALL CONTAINER THAT NIETHER OF THE LARGER COULD GET INTO AND WATCHED TO MAKE SURE NOTHING WENT WRONG!


WITH ME SO FAR?

NOW FOR THE STRANGE PART!!!!!

I PURCHASED HIM AS A MALE BUTTER!
I TOOK OUT THE BIGGER MALE AND SAID

"WHAT THE HEY, MAYBE HE WILL SHOW INTEREST IN MY BIG FEMALE AND SEE A LOCK UP. YOU NEVER KNOW"

NOW WITH MY PASTEL MALE, I HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM PUSH OUT HIS SCENT GLANDS OF HEMIPENE'S OR NOTHING! WHEN I PUT HIM IN WITH HER.

WHEN I TOOK OUT THE PASTEL AND LET LOOSE THE BUTTER!
I SEE MY "MALE" BUTTER PUSHING UP HIS TAIL AND SCENTING THE TANK AS THE BIG FEMALE IS FOLLOWING "HIS" SCENT TRAIL!

WHATS GOING ON!

i think i poped him correctly right now and saw his booty come out and 2 tiny little, not black, but deffinately not pinkish color, kinda sticks!
maybe he's a male! i dont have anyone here to take the pic while i attempt another pop.
and i know im not expierienced enough in popping so i dont want to harm him/her. whatever!

any opinions!!!!

ok lets start with don't type in all caps, its hard to read, there is no reason to yell.

what exactly do you mean by scenting the tank? and the female would be following him most likely because its something new and she wants to check it out.

no he's scenting up the place and she's following him.
i know my normals a female she's been popped by becky at WFreptiles and my male pastel came from her also.
also they have locked up so i know she's the lady.

yeah she's following him around like crazy and scenting and wagging her atil like crazy.
the butter is trying to get on top of her but the size difference is pretty funny.
but i guess if he's trying to get on top... thats a good sign of he's a male. i didnt think of that....

Males will do the same thing females do. Some will drag their penes around just like females.

Only difference ive seen is females wag as where males raise the tail and drag it with no wagging.

yeah thats whats going on... he's dragging, she's wagging! lol sounds funny...

but if he is interested and mounting her, but not locked up yet,
would that be an indication he's got sperm plugs? i know they can sometimes shoot blanks but ...u know... maybe?


oh and this isn't intentional... im not trying to get him to breed, it was just to try and see if having him in the tank would get my pastel up off his lazy booty.

I hate it when my females start scenting and then either poo or pee.
As long as they :hump: it's all good though.

well, just supervise them. Since he's so small, he could just get smushed by a big girl if she excited... Since you aren't planning on breeding them, if he's scenting, then your other male should pick up on that and start breeding that girl!! Good luck!

So just let the young primary student take over his college brother's gf and who knows maybe he will give you bunch of his butter babies. :P
