    Nelsons Milk Snakes..No Consticting??
    i feed my snakes F/T mice they dont constrict i feed them live they dont constrict they just start eating it alive right away?? is that kinda wierd??

    umm yes but don't feed live if thats the case because the rat can bite back!

    so long as the live ones are pinkies it shouldn't be too bad, just don't feed an adult mouse are decent size rat.

    If they take f/t then no reason to feed live. Colubrds catch on to the f/t game and can tell its not live. Thus not wasting energy constricting while eating.

    My rat snake wont constrict pinkies but she will fuzzies, maybe it feels they prey is too small to cause harm?

    i agree why use live if u can use F.T its just that much safer!

    i feed frozen, i when i was younger lost a BP to a rat i left in the cage :mad:, now i will only feed frozen thawed yes they were pinkies as my snakes arent that big yet. i only fed them a live pinky because i wanted to see if they were going to constrict.
