Christmas Shipping

At what point in December do you guys stop shipping to keep from Christmas delays?? Normally I don't ship at all in December but have a couple decent sales pending that I need to ship. Share your policies with me.....

This is the first year it's really come up (as we've expanded), so I set the policy to ship this week only, and then stop until after Christmas. I also suspended shipping prior to this week, after Thanksgiving, to avoid Black Friday package traffic.

We will ship as late as Dec. 20 (Monday) and then quit until the Monday after X-mas. We are only missing one week of shipping.

I would stop shipping by Wed of next week and resume the tuesday after the new year.

We stop shipping between next week and the middle of Jan. Even then if the temps. are not right I will hold for better shipping temps.

I have a package going out Monday the 20th as well. That will be my last package until after the new year.

Update:

I shipped two snakes out on the 20th from Ohio to Arizona. I used a 12x9x6 box that had 3/4" insulation. I included one 40 hour heat pack that I taped to the top piece of insulation. The low in Ohio was 26 F, and the low in Arizona was 55F. They arrived safe and sound.
