Rat Food

So I was checking out my feed store today and found out that if I want Mazuri 6F I'm going to have to special order it. However they do have 'teklan 2018' which I have never heard of so I was wondering what anyone has to say about that particular brand/product? Is it good enough that the rats will survive and have good production rates or what? Another thing about it is that it comes in ~30lb bags and costs like $15, is that a fair price?

I personally use Mazuri but Teklad is also a good product. As far as the price, i'd say that $15 was fair for 30 lbs.

i don't know what the intended purpose of the teklad stuff is, but it seems to me that it would be quite difficult to find any store that regularly stocks rodent feed. unless there are other rodent breeders that use the same feed store. i special order my mazuri. just give the place a call. my store orders on fridays, it's in on wednesday. 50# bag for $23 and some change. seems a pretty good deal to me.
